思想政治教育是中國(guó)精神文明建設(shè)的首要內(nèi)容，也是解決社會(huì)矛盾和問(wèn)題的主要途徑之一。思想政治教育既十分重要，又相當(dāng)難做，尤其是在市場(chǎng)經(jīng)濟(jì)的條件下，中國(guó)的思想政治工作存在著相對(duì)疲軟的狀況，很不適應(yīng)現(xiàn)代社會(huì)發(fā)展要求。
造成思想政治工作不力的原因很多，但其中重要的一個(gè)原因是長(zhǎng)期以來(lái)我們忽略了人格教育及培養(yǎng)。我以為，人格教育是思想政治教育的基礎(chǔ)，沒(méi)有這個(gè)基礎(chǔ)，思想政治教育就猶如無(wú)根的浮萍，總是漂流在人的思想表面而不能深入下去。
