最早出現(xiàn)于西漢時期。2015年11月在江西南昌新建區(qū)大塘坪鄉(xiāng)西漢海昏侯墓出土了中國發(fā)現(xiàn)最早銅火鍋。
火鍋的起源至今尚無定論。但在東漢出現(xiàn)了“豓斗”，根據(jù)文獻(xiàn)所考，這是一種陶或銅制的炊具，底部有三只腳，腹部有一握柄，用以放在火盆中以炭火溫食，這和今天火鍋吃法簡直如出一轍，因此有人將此作為最早出現(xiàn)的銅火鍋。
