詞語用法

adj. (形容詞)

anxious是與anxiety同根的形容詞，其含義與anxiety相同。

anxious表示“憂慮的,擔(dān)心”時(shí),可用作定語和表語; 用作表語時(shí),其后多接介詞 about , at或for,有時(shí)可跟狀語從句,還可跟that從句。

anxious表示“急于,渴望”時(shí),只用作表語,其后多接動(dòng)詞不定式(或其復(fù)合結(jié)構(gòu))、介詞短語或that從句。

anxious后接的that從句中,謂語部分要用虛擬式“should+動(dòng)詞原形”,美式英語中有時(shí)可省去should,表示說話時(shí)本該實(shí)現(xiàn)卻還未實(shí)現(xiàn)的愿望。
