除此之外，最常見的還是church。另外還有abbey（屬修道院教堂）、ecclesia（教友會(huì)：教堂或教堂會(huì)眾）、temple（圣堂）、fane（古英語，意為教堂）、ahouseofGod（教堂）。baptist是浸禮教堂，洗禮的儀式是其特有的。heAnglicanChurch則是特指英國國教（英國圣公會(huì)）的教堂。
