高考英語(yǔ)詞匯詳解：affairs的用法
1. 表示一般性的“事”或“事情”，與 thing, matter, business, event 等大致同義，是可數(shù)名詞：
That’s my affair, not yours. 那是我的事，不是你的事。
It’s an affair of great importance. 這是件很重要的事。
The affair wasn’t so easily settled. 這件事不那么容易解決。
2. 在口語(yǔ)可以模糊地表示“活動(dòng)”、“事件”、“東西”等，且多與敘述性的`形容詞或定語(yǔ)連用：
The meeting was a noisy affair. 會(huì)議開(kāi)得很吵鬧。
The party was a dull affair. 這次聚會(huì)單調(diào)乏味。
Last year’s Christmas was a merry affair. 去年的圣誕節(jié)過(guò)得令人愉快。
3. 有時(shí)表示重要的事情、事務(wù)，或復(fù)雜含混的情況、事態(tài)等，通常用復(fù)數(shù)形式，且一般不與定冠詞連用：
